The file stays between two devices.
The service helps devices find each other; it does not sit between them to store file bytes. Transfer proceeds on an encrypted data channel after the recipient gives explicit approval.
DTLSDATA CHANNEL
File bytes move browser to browser. The service supports only short-lived connection pairing.
Reviews the name and size, then accepts the file.
Temporary pairing
An eight-character code identifies a short-lived connection, not a permanent share link.
No file persistence
There is no upload endpoint or service-disk record that accepts file contents.
Encrypted data channel
WebRTC data channels use DTLS encryption while a transfer is in progress.
Recipient approval
The recipient sees the file name and size; transfer cannot start without acceptance.
